The Seehotel Bären Brienz has been under the direction of Monique Werro for 17 years and she is responsible for the authenticity of the ayurveda treatments here along with a very professional team of Ayurveda doctors and therapists. Any oils, powders and herbs are directly imported from Kerala.
The ayurvedic therapeutics here have all had a first-class education in India or Sri Lanka. They are specialized to release the muscles of the typical city dweller with targeted massage techniques.
Single treatments, especially a wide variety of massages, as well as cosmetic treatments, can be compiled á la carte.
An offer of several treatment programmes allows everyone to find a suitable one: from single wellness days to four-day- treatments for managers and from seven-day- ayurveda light treatments to packages of 21 days for stress reduction, purification or rejuvenation.
The classical panchakarma treatment is completed here in 15 days in 36 treatment steps. Four physicians on site provide for the most individual care.
The exquisite Indian ayurvedic cuisine offers a diverse menu under the direction of a very good Indian chef.
Fans of the Western breakfast should not worry: at the start of the day the ayurvedic diet is not so strict and the guests may also enjoy their bread rolls.
The guest decides: all meals can be served either à la carte or also in the room.
Weekend seminars on ayurveda including ayurveda and yoga programs with twice daily yoga sessions are offered regularly. Otherwise walks around the lake are recommended as alternative exercise.
The boutique Ganesha in the hotel is assembled with gifts, books, clothing from India and original Indian ayurvedic massage oils and beauty products, as well as tasty spice mixtures compiled by Mr. Syril, a guest chef from Kerala. Aromatic teas, incense blends and hand made soaps can also be purchased.
Surely a highlight for the culturally interested are the regular art exhibitions portrayed in the entire hotel.
In the quiet evening hours the big library invites the guests to extensive reading sessions with many ayurvedic textbooks and light fiction.
Nearly all rooms offer a wonderful view over the lake – and purposely no TV. All rooms are above average tastefully, cozy, and lovingly decorated.
